Artist statement/Biography:

The art of rughooking is an American craft believed to have started in the New England states in the 1800’s. I have been hooking rugs for 17+ years. I prefer the primitive style, which refers to the simple designs & the width of the wool strips used. When you visit the Gallery, you will see my completed rugs, hand dyed (by me!) heavily mottled wools, appliquéd pieces, penny rugs, & other wooley creations. Also, please check out the collection of my own hand dyed 6 strand floss & hand dyed 100% wool yarns. I gladly accept orders for completed rugs & dyed wool/yarn.
